So he applies around and lands the City of Vancouver: nothing unusual about that either.

So, what’s the problem? If he’s a liberal insider why doe he need a city job? Liberals have money to burn, evidently, for their cronies!

Our Canny Scot is in for a rough ride. What with R of R, Norwegian fish farms, Olympic post partum depression and a Frances who sees a consiracy under every bicycle, he’ll need more than a liberal insider to help him.

Think of the split in Vancouver’s moderate to left spectrum (which Sam Sullivan exploited to perfection in 2005) before Mr. Robertson et al. rode on in on his white horse in 2008.

And then ask yourself what would happen if he were able to do a similar pure power-pop politics conjurin trick under the big-top provincially in, say, 2013.
