Do those TransLink fare-evading bums every pay their fines?
Well our good Mayor did, eventially. But it took pressure from his financial backers (who I heard through a journo friend were far from happy with him and his initial stance that he was going to take it to court) and the reality of public perception during an election campaign before he reluctantly paid up.
Reluctantly.
Would Robertson have paid the fine if he weren’t running for Mayor? Guess we will never truly know.

Could do what other cities do and have fines escalate for non-payment.
