no more political theatre. no more reading email while the public has made and effort to come and participate in democracy. no more asking the public to sit there patiently wasting half a day while council members send insults and points of order back and forth wasting endless amounts of time – please respect the citizens of the city and the time they take to appear before council.

But points 1, 2& 3 are precisely why anyone bothers attending council meetings at all! If they didn’t perform or act out, they would would be completely unwatchable! Not for the serious and sober minded amongst us (Dan!), but since apparently none of them really has a grip on all things financial, what the hell?

I just finished a term on the Vancouver Pride board, and I absolutely agree with points 1, 2, and 3. They’re almost little things — but ultimately are among the biggest.

Whew!
