As one of my most important professors and mentors I will miss him deeply. The funeral ceremony was wonderful - just as he would have wanted. My heart goes out to Cornelia and the family and to all of Peter's students who now have an empty place in their lives.

Peter was a delight and wonderful man. I thoroughly enjoyed every conversation.

Having studied under Walter Hardwick, another great, being able to chat with Peter for many years afterwards, was always a brilliant experience.

Shalom to his family.

A great loss. I grew up near the Oberlander house. It was certainly a topic of conversation in the staid '60's. My condolences to the family.
